To create new Blog post please follow these short step by step instructions;

Log in to your WordPress Dashboard - www.yoursitename.com/wp-admin
In WordPress side menu locate Blog Posts > Add New link and click on it.
Once you are in blog post edit screen simply fill in the post required fields like Title and Content
While here you may also adjust following options;
1. Choose post format
2. Add post categories
3. Add post tags
4. Add featured image
5. Add custom CSS for your post

Once you are done setting up your post you may want to preview it before publishing. To do so, locate the Preview button and click on it. If everything is as you need it to be , click on Publish button to go live with your new post.

Blog post options

To access Creatus Blog post options please go to Blog posts > Add new and locate the Post options tab inside the Creatus options meta box.

This section contains one popup option that will help you change default blog post theme options for this post only. The popup contains same options as Posts > Single post sub tab in theme settings.

Blog post media

Blog post media will help you add more than one media item to your blog posts. You can choose from variety of available media selections. Beside these great choices you get to control the layout of selected media. To do so you can adjust following options;

Media layout - select desired media layout. Slider or grid.
Media container height - Set media container height.
Media image size - Select the media image size to be used.
Include featured image - Include/exclude featured image in post media.
Media posters - Activate media posters for all media types except images. If this option is inactive, all videos and iframes load on page load and increase page load time. This option adds a preview poster wich than activates the media on click.
Post media - add your post media.

Please note that Post media tab is visible only if post format is standard. Otherwise you get to see specific post format options tab.

Pages

To create a new Page please follow these short step by step instructions;

Log in to your WordPress Dashboard - www.yoursitename.com/wp-admin
In WordPress side menu locate Pages > Add New link and click on it.
Once you are in the page edit screen fill in the Title .
While here you may also adjust following options;
1. Add page categories
2. Select page display template
3. Add featured image
4. Add custom CSS for your page
After basic options setup click on Visual Page Builder button

Visual Page Builder

Creatus theme Visual Page Builder comes with 48 shortcode generators to help you build your pages. Every shortcode comes with it's own set of options that will help you adjust the shortcode the way you need it to be. The shortcodes are separated in 3 tabs;

Layout Elements - this tab contains layout shortcodes that will help you build desired layouts for your content.
Content Elements - this tab contains all content elements that you might need to build your page.
Media Elements - this tab contains all media elements like images, galleries, videos and sliders.

Creating shortcodes tree

To create a page builder page we recommend a tree shortcode building logic which will make it easier to find and rearrange page builder shortcodes. These are 3 simple steps that you can follow to create the shortcodes tree;

Add section
Drag column in to section
Drag shortcode in to column

Custom page builder templates

To create custom template simply locate the section slider, section or column Save as template icon and click on it. Give your template a name and save. Now your template is available under the Builder templates menu and can be accesed on any page that has page builder active.

Template Library

To make things easier for you we have included predefined page builder templates that populate the page builder with ready to go shortocdes. Once you are done setting up your page you may want to preview it before publishing. To do so, locate the Preview button and click on it. Portfolio

To create new Slider please follow these short step by step instructions;

In WordPress side menu locate Appearance > Sliders > and click on Add New button.
On next page select available slider type and adjust the slider options.

Title - Choose the slider title.
Slider animation - Adjust slider animation.
Slider height - Set slider container height.
Styling - Adjust global slider styling.
Once done adjust the slider options click on Create button located on the right side.

Slide options

To create new slide click on the Add New image and adjust slide options;

Image - Select your slide image.
Title - Add slide title.
Description - Add slide description.
Image position - Adjust slide image position.
Parallax - Activate/deactivate image parallax effect.
Subtitle text - Add slide sub title.
Subtitle location - Choose sub title location.
Add button - Add up to 2 slide buttons.
Colors - Adjust slide text and overlay colors.
Content metrics - Adjust slide content metrics. Max width can be px or %. If no unit is set, % is default.
Title box style - Adjust .thz-sliders-title box style.
Sub title box style - Adjust .thz-sliders-sub box style.
Description box style - Adjust .thz-sliders-desc box style.
Buttons container box style - Adjust .thz-sliders-buttons box style.

Publish slider shortcode

Once you are done adding your slides go to a page that uses the page builder, add Slider shortcode to your page and publish it.

Log in to your WordPress Dashboard - www.yoursitename.com/wp-admin
In WordPress side menu locate Appearance > Menus link and click on it.
Once you are in menu edit screen locate the Create new menu link on top of the page and click on it.
Fill in the Menu Name field and create the new menu by clicking on the Create Menu button.

Adding menu items

Now that the menu is created you can add existing page/post links to your menu or create custom links. All these are located in menu pages column.

To add menu item simply select the check box next to the menu item title and click on the Add to menu button. After the menu item has been added you can drag and drop the item to place it in desired position.

Menu items options

To access Creatus Navigation Menu options please go to Appearance > Menu and open any menu item. In menu item edit box you will find following options;

Add icon - This option will help you select an icon for your menu item.
Use as mega menu - Checkbox that converts the menu item in to a mega menu container. For this option to be visible the Mega menu Unyson extension must be enabled.
Settings ( not mega menu item ) - This popup contains an option to convert the menu item in to a button and it comes with built in button generator.

Mega menu row options

Mega menu row settings popup contains menu item options that will help you adjust following settings;

Defaults section tab contains following options;

Row box style - Adjust .mega-menu-row box style. Padding and background.
Visible to - Select user roles that can see this menu item. Leave unchecked to be visible to everyone. Please note that this restricts visibility only, not the page/post access. Note that child elements will inherit the visibility. If you select Logged in than all users that are logged in will see this item. For more restrictive visibility do not use Logged in but rather select the user role. Logged out option makes this item visible to site visitors only.

Widgets options section tab contains following options;

Widgets options - Add widget options for this row or leave as is for theme defaults.
Widget box style - Adjust .thz-sidebars .widget box style.
Widget title box style - Adjust .thz-sidebars .widget-title box style.
Widget title metrics - Adjust widget title metrics.
Widgets metrics - Adjust widgets metrics. Theme colors are inherited if empty. Li top , Li bottom and Lists border color, adjust the top and bottom padding for list items(.thz-has-list li a) and their border color.
Tags box style - Adjust .tagcloud a (Tag Cloud widget item) box style.
Tags font metrics - Adjust tag items font metrics.

Thumbnail options section tab contains following options;

Thumbnail holder box style - Adjust a.itemlink.has-thumbnail box style.

Mega menu column options

Mega menu column settings popup contains menu item option that will help you switch column display mode from default to thumbnail or widget area. All 3 modes contain the option to disable column title link. By default column titles are treated as normal link. Set Column titles link to "Do not link" to disable links for this column title.

Defaults section tab contains following options;

Widget area - Load widget area instead of a link.

To access Creatus Page options please go to Post/page/taxonomy edit page and locate the Page options tab inside the Creatus options meta box.

This section contains custom options that will help you adjust following settings;

Full page rows - Full page rows options set requires page builder to be active and have sections. To add scroll menu, go to Content Elements tab in page builder and add Sections menu element.
Main navigation menu - Select different navigation menu for this page. Leave empty for default Top menu.
Secondary navigation menu - Select different secondary menu for this page. Leave empty for default Secondary menu.
Header brightness - Set starting header brightness.
Custom site options - Add custom site options for this page or leave as is for theme defaults.
Custom content layout - Add custom content layout for this page or leave as is for theme defaults.
Custom header options - Add custom header options for this page or leave as is for theme defaults.
Custom logo options - Add custom logo options for this page or leave as is for theme defaults.
Custom main menu options - Add custom main menu options for this page or leave as is for theme defaults.
Custom hero section - Add custom hero section to this page or leave as is for theme defaults.
Custom page title options - Add custom page title options for this page or leave as is for theme defaults.
Custom footer options - Add custom footer options for this page or leave as is for theme defaults.

To access Creatus Taxonomy options please go to Blog, events, portfolio, products taxonomy edit page and locate the Page options tab inside the Creatus options meta box.

Category Image - Select or upload category image. This can be used in hero sections as background image.
